Dwayne J. Heisler
Music Director

A rich and diverse musical tradition is the base upon which The Bloom Consort's founder and Music Director Dwayne Heisler stands. A graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, Dwayne's passion for vocal music was evident as he sang in the University's Madrigal Singers, Concert Choir, Husky Singers, Mad Barbers Barbershop Quartet and Pizazz Jazz Ensemble, the latter of which he was also the Director.

Dwayne continued this commitment to his music upon his graduation with a degree in Computer Information Sciences. His time since has included large and small ensemble work including concerts with the North East Philharmonic Orchestra, Brighter Light ACappella quartet (of which he was the founder), Glorianna Consort, and finally, in 1987 he founded The Bloom Consort.

An accomplished instrumentalist, Dwayne lends his skills in Renaissance music events, including The Bloom Consort performances, playing Soprano, Tenor, & Bass Recorder, Tenor Cornamuse, Bodrain, Catspaw/Fish Sticks, Krumhorns and Theater. Heisler is also an experienced Country (Contra) Dancer.

Living and singing in the Bloomsburg, PA area, Dwayne works with RemitCorp, and resides with Ferris the Whippet, who is at this point a discerning critic and avid listener of Renaissance music.
