Since 1987 the Bloom Consort has been performing music
of the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. The repertoire includes Madrigals, Motets,
Lute Songs and Chansons in English, Latin, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
The mood ranges from serious to silly, with an occasional surprise.
The Bloom Consort provides entertainment for a wide variety of functions including
Renaissance Banquets, Faires, Weddings, Parties, Community Events and Sacred
Services. The Consort has participated in events such as the Pennsylvania
Renaissance Faire, the Maryland Renaissance Festival, the Kutztown Renaissance
Faire, First Night in York, PA, and concerts at the Philadelphia Art Museum,
Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Victoria Palace and The Rockwell Center.
